Here are a few scans of Edgar's father in two of the uniforms he wore
the first was taken in 1913. You can see clearly the number 16 on the shoulderstrap. When this was taken he resided in Altenburg-Saxony. He was given the priviledge of being married in the church of the Altenburg castle. This may also serve to identify the unit. Also what rank is he in this pic?
The next 2 pics are of him in 1915. You can see he has the book that a Der Spiesse would carry and also wheres a sword. He was later promoted to an officer. There is info on the back side of the pic as well and hope this will tell the unit he was now with. Also note the device on the EKII ribbon, I have identified the other 2 medals on the ribbon bar and have all of his medals which i have posted in another section and thread
