I haven't looked closely at any of my motorcycle photos, but I would think the latching strap was brought under the chin as the two ear flaps were brought together, then that strap would go through the cross strap on the opposite side to meet the buckle. The crash helmet eagles are identical in size to the cartouche kasten eagles. But the helmet eagles have spit brads which are necessary to pass through the depth of the helmet holes. The cartouche eagles with small d-rings won't work
