As Bob mentioned, the item with the swastika and the threaded end is indeed a pole top for a DAF flag.It is the earliest of the pre-RZM types and is often found in solid bronze with either a Bren-laquer silver or silver/nickel plated finish
It is missing two components however, the top and bottom decorative flange which hides the threaded portion where it joins the pole.
Does the flag you acquired follow the motif seen in the design of the pole top? DAF area flags have a cogwheel design with a square canton patch in the corner with the name of the village, town, city, area it came from..
