BEVO - BARMEN
Dave, Barmen is a district in the city of Wuppertal. BeVo-Barmen and BeVo-Wuppertal were very likely identical firms.
In many books about insignia it is said, that the firm BeVo ( Bandfabrik Ewald Vorsteher ) was heavily bombed in the end of the war and didn't exist after 1945. That maybe true, but I have an item that is clearly after 1945 and also has the name BeVo
These are clothes tags with initial letters. The little term "DBWZ" = " Deutsches Bundes Warenzeichen " places them in a time after 1948.
The squirrel on the box is a trade mark and it says " BeVo since 1896 " - so there must have been a period after the war when the firm BeVo was still producing.
