I had one of these that came from the Central police station in Oslo. I know for a fact that they were used in Norway by both the Norwegian and German Police. However, I have also been told that "SIPO" does not refer to the German SIPO but to the manufacturer. My understanding is that these were used before the war as well as a "crowd control" device. During the war also as a instrument of torture.

The fact that my grandfather was tortured with one of these at the same police station where mine came from, prompted me to get rid of this thing asap and it was at the time traded against two EKII.
