Maybe I should have listed this in the Imperial Medals forum, but it does not seem to have as much activity as this one.
In any case.... I was going through some of my 1914 EKs seeing if they have magnetic cores. Well I ran across a screw back that does not. Closer inspection showed no maker's mark but does show a "925" silver mark. It is highly vaulted. The paint on the core shows an usually smooth surface with some very small spots of paint loss. The exposed metal shines just exactly like the silver frame. The more I look at this it seems (to me as least) to be all one piece with no separate core. It is very well made. I am not really sure where I acquired it.
Sorry I cannot provide a pic.
Are all silver 1914 EKls known???
Thanks,
Rod
