Hi Skynyard, You've inadvertently done everything exactly right. These resin kits are much different than the Aurora or Revell kits we built back in the day. Many times there are imperfections such as air bubbles, pinholes, gouges or the dreaded overlapping seam. Some require alot of preparation, just depends on how good the caster is. I always pin all parts large and small including pins to hold the figure to the base. Can't wait to see your paint up.
