Hi Don, it does have a day badge look to it.
I can't figure out what is in the shield shape. Is it a folk singer's head above perhaps the castle roof and wall?
The more I look at it the more I think I'm seeing things. 
What I thought was a singing head is probably a cupola. They have some fancy roof architecture.--dj--Joe
