Here is an odd little badge, described as a "Festabzeichen" rather than a tinnie or an organisation badge. It's for the 4th Reichsbund der Philatelisten tag/45th Deutscher Philatelistentag held in Munich on the 3rd & 4th June 1939. The annual meeting of stamp collectors & those involved in the postal business.

As the title of the event suggests, there had been many such meetings before (the Reichsbund der Philatelisten having been formed on 5th January 1936, but the Deutscher Philatelistentagen having been previoulsy organised by the Bund Deutscher Philatelisten Verbande), however this, as far as I am aware, is the only one for which an enamel badge was issued.

The meeting was held in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, just a few streets away from the Feldherrnhalle & was opened by Reichsbundfuhrer des Reichsbund der Philatelisten, Kurt Wohlfahrt. As with previous meetings, post cards were available to buy, and a special Post Office was set up in the hotel so that attendees could post the cards and have the special cancellation stamps or franking. Three different cancellations were available, one for each day of the event. Although the event offically took place over two days, a trip took place on the third day (June 5th) to Salzburg, returning via Berchtesgaden. To reflect this there was an extra cancellation stamp marked Salzburg.

Here is the enamel badge
