yes, I see one very nice transitional Gierling, but I like the early HJs because most show some type of logo maker mark, I wonder what that logo is supposed to be on these early HJ Gierlings? thanks "Transitional" is a term used when a HJ-knife (or SA-dagger) is marked with the maker mark plus the RZM code. A better term is double marked in my opinion. Both the versions of the Emil Gierling shown here are early HJ-knife variants: they only have the maker mark, no RZM code. Best regards, Herman
