As exemplified by early period engraving "V" shaped hand engravers left visible traces of how they carved away metal to form the engraving. Maybe it's just me, but the engraving here look to me like a spherical cutting tool was used with some touching up at the corners of the characters. So for me any grammar errors would take on added weight in trying to tell period work from postwar. Best Regards, Fred
