Hi Bill ,
the repair of a lateral spring ( a classic failure) is a hard duty . First of all , is it a first model or a take-down knife ?
For my gravity-knives collection I bought several spares , including broken knives, in order to face this problem but in spite of several trials I conclude the result was not satisfactory. It is necessary to have a high experience & knowledge in cuttlery and the right material . On *You Tube* you can find a topic on the subject but practice is an other thing !
