Interesting post Evgeniy! So we know the box is for a ring, and marked 'Ministry of trade affairs'.. Early after the Revolution things were a mess. We do know and have seen the famous advertisement for a Skull & Snake ring Russian and just before the revolution. So what happens to these rings? Sold? ,,that wasn't supposed to happen. Given away? I truly don't know. What happened to all the jewelry stock from private jewelers? And what exactly was this 'Ministry of Trade Affairs'? You living in one of the 10 ten greatest cities in the world and this ring & box is Russian / East European[?] can you research it more?
