thank you so much for helping on this yes pig skin tabs japanese flags and again your right on target with it not being military flag just a patriotic flag i allways liked the pig skin tabs on japanese flags and not that silvered paper tabs i have sold them for years as period made i also believe this flag might be old stock waiting for soldiers to buy to bring home after the war thanks again jareth for your expertise opinion your knowledge is just ausum guess the many years of collecting japanese head gear flags etc tells the whole story god bless andy militarynut
