Bob_M, personally I am not into the minute little differences concerning special classification. Naturally I do recognize them but for me the overall appearance of a dagger is in the first place. This said, due to the quality, the kind of silvering, the crossguard eagle und the special scabbard treats I would think that the dagger shown here is an earlier one and the dagger in the other thread is a later one. Both seem to be NOT nickle but a pot metal alloy. The photographs are not enough detailed for me in regard of certain regions, perhaps the crossguard of the one shown here might also be a brass alloy. BTW both are very nice daggers, the simulated ivory grip is special! Regards,
