post 314 & 315.. You can always make a large scan then crop one or 2 guys and their upper half to see tabs, board , cap devices..

I did this and it appeared to be the number 1 on the tabs and not a wolfs hook as first thought. I could swear there's one soldier (6th from left) wearing a tab with the number 2. Any idea what unit these numbers represented and what the significance of the blank tabbed guy to the left was?
