Unfortunately, emotions triumphed over intellect.
And, the most likely response from the key members of the EU will also be emotional. So, I think that the UK is hooped economically and will face its own series of referenda to leave their union (Scotland and Northern Ireland have already indicated that they are considering it).
The end result will be a much diminished and not-so-Great Britain.
As their economy tanks and the pound weakens, there will likely be militaria buying opportunities in the short and medium term.
Just my opinion, of course.
