And, fresh from the Kashi collection is this short double etched Luftwaffe bayonet.
On one side we find the short version of the 3231 Luftwaffe etch..the Luftwaffe eagle at the tip, the observation plane near the crossguard and no fleur de lys bookend near the crossguard since this is a short blade.
On the other side we see the name of the recipient, Arno Hecker, inside of the standard fleur de lys bookends and frame.
Two things make this bayonet very special, the rarity of the short version of a scarce etch and the dedication on the obverse, something that is almost never seen.
