Sorry, I thought you meant Interarms was the distributor (as in middle man between manufacturer/importers and dealers) and not necessarily the importer. I know Interarms imported Walther for a number of years, but wasn't sure who else may have brought them in.

I'd say you're right about it being a mark put there by Interarms.
