Love that eagle! Look at the frayed edges. I go back and look at the photo where you can see it on his left arm (he's wearing a sling)...and I imagine....maybe there was this moment....and some gi just straight up RIPped that eagle clean OFF that uniform. it may not have gone down that way, but it's plausible, and it's insanely powerful. 2 massive armies and opposing ideological forces boiled down to that one interaction between two men, one victor and one vanquished..
