A very interesting piece. Has all parts (beside the clamshell which is a known fake part) of the extremely rare ALCOSO hunting dagger. Fitting of the stag gripis remarkably well done.
Nevertheless all details (pommel, crossguard, blade, upper and lower scabbard fitting - WHY THERE IS NO PIC OF THE FRONT OF THE LOWER SCABBARD FITTING?- remind me on the new "superfakes".
Also remarkable, the portepee seems to be an original one, not often to be seen.
For me someone -whoever it might be- is starting a test baloon....
