My questions are if anyone has seen other examples like this; Is it a late version with the crudeness of the pommel rings and ferrule? If so, is it proper to see a throatless scabbard on a late version? Also, and foremost is the the taper tang.
How did a taper tang blade get on this 'late' version? Has anyone seen a taper tang 2nd Model RR, and with stamped letters ?
