Andy, I suspect your C.P.B. piece is not Criminal Police Berlin, as the German word for criminal begins with a "K", not a "C". Sorry I can't shed any more info on it. Do you think it is possible it might have been stamped post war? These pistols were very popular with European police and military in the late 40's & 50's. So, in the absence of documentation, we would have to consider this may possibly be a non-NS period marking....
