It's tough to find anything really great over here so when I saw this I had to buy it, a total length of 25", it's a shame it's missing it's skinning knife but that is long gone. It still has around 70% of it's original gilt finish, the blade is in near mint state thanks to the lack of runners in these Imperial pieces, the crown represents a Krone der Prinzen aus herzoglichen H�usern translated to Crown of a Princely Ducal household. I've been looking and to date have not conclusively found the original house, there are a number of ducal houses with a princes name beginning with "H", perhaps it will never be found which is a shame but it doesn't detract from a great hirschf�nger.
