well it's spotty; I thought old yellow mud. wrong! turns out the guy as a kid 50 years ago didn't like the wartime paint and scraped most of it off. can you say, 'wuestegelb'? there I knew you could. 'I didn't know about the africa korps back then' he told me sheepishly. :---(

so I used acetone f'nail polish remover to take a little off. the next guy (I have to sell it, sadly) can do the rest or just keep as is!
