John, From what we know already this person has, to put it lightly taken full advantage of you and it seems to continue, so I'm confused about a first installment option with still lots more to come. It's completely up to you how you handle this individual but under the circumstances I would demand full payment immediately with no options period. He didn't have to wait to get paid for literally nothing, why should you?...Imo.
