Gentlemen,

I recently stumbled onto a very interesting dagger which appears correct to my "less than expert" eye but I would like to submit it here for review by the true expert community. I do not currently have the dagger in hand but will be able to handle it again in the near future. I've included some good but not great pictures that show the daggers detail and configuration. The gilded finish is not perfect but it is present and not simply "nicotine staining". There is some damage to the lower fitting ball and the upper fitting but otherwise nothing serious.

The blade tang is marked 1936 and 5. The 5 carries onto the crossguards, tang and grip. The maker mark is RZM 7/12 which I believe to be Weyersberg Max. The chain links appear to be magnetic. The inscription on the blade (see photo) is most interesting and I would like to deterimine if it is possible to research this. I have several more but don't want to burden the posting initially.

Please take a look and let me know your comments.
