Here's a shot of the short single oval next to a short double oval sawback, note that they had already switched to the later bakelite pattern by the time the double oval '33-'34 sawback was manufactured.
These early produced Eickhorns are some of the best constructed & well made bayonets I've ever come across. I can see why John Z. loves Eick's products!
