One of these days I�m going to have to find one of these grips in unsalvageable condition in a parts box somewhere to have it analyzed. But my best guess at this point is that is that it�s a chemically dyed cast phenolic resin grip. That is physically unstable, which is the underlying problem with many of the cast grips made of this type of plastic. FP
