Also, thanks for the additional information on the two 1945 bayonets. I take it from your description that they applied the dates to the grip exteriors, instead of the usual places like blades and scabbards? And the same for the serial numbers, or are they in the usual locations?

The SS Frogs are a study in themselvs. I gave you styles and groupings. But the frogs further break down into sub groups of Property Marks, Locations, dates, & serial numbers, and my favorite SS TV Standarte Property Mark.
