The formulation of the late plastic grips was known by the Germans as a Type 41, with a January 1943 standardization/implementation date. Without seeing the grips (and preferably the whole bayonet) it’s impossible to say just what time period it might have been reworked. Because the formulation itself did change as the war progressed.
