The large stein inscription is a popular Bavarian Volkslied (folk song) and, I believe, loosely translates into "There is no sin in the mountain pasture.

The smaller stein translation is a rhyme that translates somewhat into "A drink in honor, who would refuse".

Some of our more proficient German-speaking members may offer a much better translation.

Both steins are export post 1891, probably circa 1920s.

Values are nominal as the more common general stoneware steins are not currently too highly sought after. It might be best to check ebay for selling prices to get an idea of current market values.

Any damage can severely affect the value of any stein.

Hope this helps.
