Speaking of "Collector Cars":
The highest priced item at the Barrett Jackson auction, which concluded on Sunday here, was a GM Futurerama
bus 
which went for $4,000,000 plus commissions. Why did it go for that amount? I've been around vintage car auction for most of my life and I can't begin to answer that question.
IMO: The best deal at the auction was a one-off factory built Mercedes commissioned by an Arab Sheik at a cost of $2,400,000 with a reputed top speed of 268MPH. This went for $200,000 and I can't explain the rational of this either.
Overall 60's and 70's muscle cars remained extremely strong with records being set.
