Billy, Perhaps "Stock" thought they were big enough to grind the makers mark off to promote their own company. They got away with it anyway and I suppose after they had bought them they were intitled to do what they wanted.
From the information I got back from the seller of the stag grip piece, it seems it belonged to a senior-forester from Lippe who worked for Prinz Armin.(thats straight from Willi's translation).It's certainly good enough for that, he offered this information without any prompting from me and after I had bought it so I tend to believe him.
I never thought I would find a stag grip to match the officers version, I doubt these were cheap at the time.
