I hope the shoulder board is visible from the scan. The doctor is talking with two other officers and the shading indicates to me the two others have green collar tabs while the doctor has blue. This is according to previous threads. The shoulder boards would be Schupo green underlay.
Which leads to a question about your overcoat George. Aren't the boards basically Heer Oberartz? At least according to all the published regulations. But this seems at odds with your obvious officer quality mantel and evidence of medical use. Any evidence of the sleeve medical insignia having been on the coat
