Bad as the day is long...send it back. Too easy to excuse Charlie by stating that he does not know what he is doing....He has been in this hobby long enough and has enough contacts to know whether something he is selling is either good or bad. One must use common sense. When I buy an item that I know little about I seek the advice of those that are knowledgeable, this is especially true if I intend to sell it or have invested a large sum in its purchase or if the item represents a significant cash return or value. Dealers are people as well and they often do the same thing that all of us do. It is human nature Wink Wink get your money back and be suspect of all damast, especially those not having tang marks and those not having an ivory handle. No guarantees with either but reason to be more suspicious than usual. Invest in some reference books,cheers, Ryan
