I don't have a problem with the two small holes. Sure someone could have removed and then re-applied the eagle causing the holes but, the holes don't line-up to the placement of the pins on the eagle. There are endless possibilities, to me it's insignificant.
The display case looks fine. I don't think your going to get a perfect case unless you build it yourself. The only way to keep an insect out is to encase the item in cement but, that kind of defeats the purpose Frown. Visual periodic inspection is the best answer. You can also pick up natural products that repell insects. Cedar wood is great. I've lined my closets with it and also put some in my display cases. Mothballs are bad. The stink and give off chemicals that will damage item over time. I only use them when I first get a new cloth item just incase I've missed something from my visual inspection.
