my theory as to why it froze my friend's computer (which was maybe 4 years old) is that it obviously requires more memory to run and as such is designed for newer machines...another way for MSFT to go out and get you to buy new machines with licensed versions of Windows on these machines. Microsoft has an amazing way of fixing things that are not broken...IE I never understand why they will not just leave things alone. I see no major improvements on IE7, in fact I see a major drawback in that it takes longer to bring up sites.
