Dear "nats", the stampings seem to be ok, have exactly the same (slightly more close to the top) but with "38" on a belt loop which came with an original dagger and hanger.
But as ever, an in hand inspection would be good, although I am not aware of faking such stamps.
About the hanger I do not dare to try a statement as a lot more pics would be necessary (details and reverse).
