I'm also curious about what is on the other side.
1st things I see though are a pretty shabby alignment of the etch on the blade, Maker mark that appears to be on the front side of the etched blade (would like to see the other side of the blade), and a totally different etch from one side of the blade to the other (look at the leaves/sprigs under the eagle, under both sides, if you can stand to look at the eagle that long.
1st indications to me are that this is badly done and made post-war.
