Reading some articles about German items after the war, when the German surrendered ALL their arms (daggers too) the GI placed all the "stuff" in a large pile and ran tanks over the items to prove a point. Some GI grabbed daggers and made blades fit scabbards as a war trophy. Over the years I have owend 2 M36 with early RZM blades. Both bought from vet family members. I have also onwed a Bertram Reinh inserted in a mid period M36 Scabbard. Again from a vets son.
