From what I see I believe this is an original example.
Pics can sometimes be decieving. My first thought was that this was too "pot-bellied" but when these things are put back together they never seem to go together as nicely as they did from the factory. They were never made to be taken down as much as people do today. A virgin dagger is a rarity anymore. The chest piece is slightly bowed in pic#2 and I think that and the angle give a poor impression.
