Davey,
This piece is complete, but obviously NOT unissued. I personally do not like it because someone has 'worked' on it. The scabbard was painted which means either all the blue were gone or there are rust underneath. The flashguard might have been changed because there are bruises on the wooden slabs (which doesn't bother me too much for an early blade) but the flashguard is still straight. These kind of bruises were usually caused by soldiers using the bayonet as a hammer so chances are the flashguard might possibly be dented too.
