I will try to give some anwers with my bad english: The carpet weights around 3,3 pound (lb), I got it from Dresden after the german reunion in 1990 and it comes out of a casern. It was always in my mind to show it in my home. Unfortunally, there are two problems: the first is my wife and the second, that the carpet is a little bit to large.

I presume, that pieces like these were special made in only small numbers, may be this is the onliest wich had survived. It has a signature, wich I cannot read. It is made by fine wool and had a frame in former times, wich is missing now. For my opinion that must be a present to a high ranking officer or a Regiment wich has part on the re-conquest of Przemysl in 1915.
