Here's something a little different for the car buffs on this forum. Chevy has always provided parade cars for NASCAR races but is no longer able to do so. They asked my Corvette Club if we could help and we came up with 43 roadsters ranging from 1957 to 2009. Here's a picture of me in my 89 on the parade lap with driver Tony Raines at PIR a couple of weeks ago. We did one lap and dropped the driver off at his car in the pits. Believe me it was a hoot and the eye candy in the pits alone was worth it! This worked out so well that PIR is planning on doing this at future races. I can now also honestly state that even with a professional racer aboard I prefer to do the driving!
