dave the problem was they were using a hall mark as a design not that the design was the hall mark manufacturers do not stamp their own product ,unless the object is small then they can stamp sterling, they are sent to the local assay office and have been since the 14th century sorry you cannot have genuine cast in hall marks they are always stamped
