Thanks guys I appreciate it,Yes billy the marked bayonet blade is a hair over 10 1/4 inches long,longer than the other one.And yes Aurelia the blade is steel,what does the 17 number mean?The red plug is not felt but cloth covered something wood maybe.Were these ever nickle plated,dont see any,are these early ones worth any more and harder to find,first one I have had paid 80.00.
