Gentlemen,
Pattarozzi's amazing new reference book on the Luftwaffe Gravity knife, describe the FKm Type IIa as the
rarest of all paratrooper take-down gravity knife.
During the conduct of the knife survey only two (2) Type IIas were observed out of 2000 knifes of all variations.
These were only produced for a very short period of time in 1941 by Paul Weyersberg.
The unique feature being the all carbon steel blade construction.
The example being showned down below, was probably unissued as it is in a perfect condition.
