Hello to all, Although Im basically an edged weapons collector, due to the actual higher prices Im looking in other fields to add new pieces to my collection. A dealer offered to me this Allach Plaquette and as I dont know almost nothing on this kind of pieces Id really appreciate your help to learn if its a good piece or not. Theres no many info on the net. Thanks in advance to all

I don't see any problems either ... let us know if you get it?
Cheers!

Thank you very much for your help, Seiler and Bill. I know thirdreicharts web but the only piece like hits is black finished (exactly as another one I found in hermann historica) and as Im a newbie in this field I didnt knew if this plaquette was made in this different colour. As a beginner I feel myself as I blindman. Thanks again for your help Raul

John,
Are you sure about these being black? I always thought they were dunklebraun Ton? I also thought perhaps this one was photographed with a flash and overexposed. Were there some that were more in the brown color range? Isn't this kaolin formula much like the famous Bttger Sreinzeug that was a staple of Meissen? Would you consider one of these plaques a reproduction if it wasn't that very dark color?
Hal, If I may ask, how much is the guy asking for this piece?
Thanks and best regards!
Bill

Bill, as you suppose correctly the color is more brown not so grey, similar to Julleuchter, like traditional bricks. The pics doesnt make justice in the color or in the crisp details. Ill try to get better pics in the dealer house. About the second question Ill pm you.
Regards, Raul
