Welcome to the Forum Panther  Nice looking Luft, appears to have a lot of hand enhancing, not sure of who made the fittings though, but I'm sure the Luft gurus can cast more light on it. Red

Hi Panther. Most of the dagger looks like SMF to me with the scabbard bands and gold gilt on the pommel but I must admit the crossguard with its detail and upper etch look to be a different maker but not one that I can put my finger on. Thanks Ian Prompted by Red's comments on hand enhancing I have started looking at the rear of the crossguard and so far have been able to eliminate a few of the makers. I'm not an experienced dagger collector though having focused most of my energy in other areas of TR and US Airborne collecting. Thanks again for the feedback  My Best P

Cannot detect more than redbaron on this dagger manufacturer.
Seems to have a true ivory grip!

Xguard threw me, I can't pin that one down and it's not shown in TW's Luft book, closest is a Klass variation which only has 4 acorns on the xguard upper engraving, however the profile is different to mine and the one shown in Toms book, unless it's the photo.
As Wotan remarked that grip sure looks like a real ivory one and if it is it's probably worth more than the dagger. Sorry can't be of more help.
